The Tameer Investment Company is expected to issue the ITB on the construction contract for the development of its Shaza Salalah Hotel and Resort at Salalah, in Dhofar, Oman. The contract is to be awarded after the mobilization, ground floor leveling and design works are completed. The mobilization, ground floor leveling and design works of the project is expected to be completed in March or April 2015. The project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2015.
The project will cover the construction of a five-star hotel with a built up area of 55,000 sq m spreading over a 41,250 sq m land and will include 300 rooms consisting of 130 hotel rooms, 85 villas with attached swimming pools and 85 hotel apartments. It will also contain four restaurants, a conference hall which can accommodate up to 750 persons, swimming pools, kids club, gym, spa, beauty salon, retail shops, car parking area for 500 cars, a business center and meeting rooms.
Dhofar, particularly the tourism sector is growing steadily and the demand for five-star hotel apartments is rapidly increasing. The project won’t be far of the Salalah International Airport and this will definitely add to the demand. The architectural designing of Shaza Salalah Hotel and Resort is a blend of contemporary designs taken from the Omani history achieving the highest levels of quality architecture and sophisticated hotel services. The total landscape greenery area around the hotel is to be around 20,000 sq m.
