GAJ has won two awards at the Design Middle East Architecture Leaders Awards, scooping the Educational Building of the Year with Ladybird Nursery and Best Future Project of the Year with Serenia Living.
The event recognises and rewards design excellence across a broad range of categories celebrating the best architects as well as their projects and the companies they represent.
“We are humbled and honoured to receive two awards at the Design Middle East Architecture Leaders Awards,’ said Christine Espinosa, associate partner. “Both wins highlight the significance of communicating the importance of paying close attention to detail, exercising creativity, and incorporating innovative design strategies that take sustainability into account when developing projects.”
GAJ’s winning entry for the Educational Building of the Year is the Ladybird Nursery, a brand-new facility in Al Barsha which follows the success of the Ladybird Early Learning Centre delivered by GAJ in 2016. The new nursery is a single storey building with indoor and outdoor play areas, open classrooms and a similar theme to the original design with each of the three age groups having their own distinct area.
The second award was given for the Serenia Living project on The Palm Jumeirah which was recognised as the best Future Project of the Year on the night. Serenia Living offers a collection of 225 exclusive residences spanning 118,00 sqm. It features a mix of two- three-, and four-bedroom units, as well as exclusive penthouses. It also includes one of the largest wellness clubs in Dubai with an indoor gym, dedicated training studio, spa treatment room, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and an ice plunge pool.
*We can’t wait to see this project come to life. It’s always exciting to see new things happening, and we are confident that this project will be a real asset that leaves a lasting impression on the Palm Jumeirah skyline for years to come,” said Espinosa.
