Two L-shaped blocks are linked by an elevated walkway to create a series of sheltered courtyards which in turn act as the central heart of the project.

Particular emphasis was given to the design of the KG environment to achieve a protected and nurturing series of spaces that responds to the ergonomics and scale of the youngest pupils.

The design focused on ensuring that all areas were seen as engaging and inspirational, providing positive spaces both internally and externally, to foster teaching and learning opportunities.

The main entrance and administration blocks are located between the junior and senior school for efficiency and legibility, and the palette used throughout is largely based on light neutral backgrounds with natural wood and colour highlights for improved wayfinding and orientation.

Emphasis was also placed on integration, energy efficiency and durability to help reduce operating and maintenance costs.
