Located over six floors in the new Tilal Complex, the project will benefit from its proximity to a proposed shopping mall and purpose built office floors with dedicated cores for circulation and services. Whilst the floor plates are deep, a good level of aspect and light is provided to three sides, with external views out over Muscat; the fourth is into an internal courtyard with limited light and views. It has been suggested that the first five floors -largely rectangular in shape with octagonal ends – accommodate the office functions with the executive meeting rooms located on the octagonal shaped penthouse on level six.

… what people need is a variety of work settings…

Work settings must recognise the needs of individual, their tasks and technology. Employees need a choice of workplace which includes a combination of open and closed areas, places for privacy, places for internal meetings, shared desking and facilities, social spaces, mobility, and flexible IT infrastructure.

... work practices are changing

People matter – top of the agenda will be to ultimately create a really desirable workplace, enabling a work/life balance, improving motivation and morale, and increasing productivity, Occupiers will embrace advanced ways of working.

...activity during the working day

Desking or cellular office areas are often only used part of the time. Employees often carry out tasks at their desk that are of a shorter and more intense duration.

Activities during the working day – whether it’s having a coffee, meeting colleagues, working quietly or being creative – need spaces that support and encourage the activities of your team and need to be functionally designed. These spaces are a key ingredient of a sucessful workplace design solution.
