In line with the developer’s vision the site was intended to provide a retail centre for the surrounding residential and hotel projects as well as a terminus for both land and sea public transport networks connecting to the public beach.
Spread over two levels and capitalising on the beach view the building has been designed using a concept of openness. This also avoids the ‘black box’ scenario often found with mall design with their large expanses of blank walls and service entrances. Steel and louver colonnades provide shade for coffee shops and cafes at the ground floor level adjacent to the beach plaza.
Plot A69 retail centre is located on the western shore of Crescent A on the newly constructed Palm Jebel Ali Island in a district known as the central hub.
