A Pledge for Change

As we celebrate our incredible milestone of 35 years in the UAE, we have committed to an even greater focus on our commitment to social and climate impact for the coming years. We are encouraging everyone within Godwin Austen Johnson to make a difference through a number of different initiatives that support the overall goal of greater change.

 

Our CSR programme is based on ethical business practices and expecting the same from our suppliers and partners. To us that means minimising the environmental impact of our facilities and products. It means providing career growth as well as supporting philanthropy and community involvement. It is also about educating our employees on evolving environmental issues and sustainable practices both at work and at home.

 

Our CSR programme is defined by three strong pillars which defines our environmental, social and economic performance and the impact of the company on our internal and external stakeholders

 

People

People are central to everything we do. We realise our potential by creating a safe, healthy and inclusive workplace, and by broadening our skills and experience. This will include a healthy life balance, career opportunities and the wellbeing of employees.

 

Community

Our engagement with our community is important to us and forms part of our long-term commitment to giving back where possible. We are aligning with select charity and community projects, offering our expertise to local educational establishments and participating in volunteer opportunities where possible.

 

Environment

The environment pillar describes measures that can be taken by us as a business and individually to mitigate negative impacts on the environment.  These include the reduction of our carbon footprint, active recycling, avoidance of pollution and energy efficiency.
