In this mansion the main zones above have been separated into distinct blocks separated by open courtyards. Linkages between these areas are all glazed allowing light and ventilation into every part of the home. As a reference to the sea, water has been included throughout the landscape with water courts, water features and swimming pools fully integrated into the design. Finishes have been kept light reflecting the sandy beaches while timbers are of an organic design and lighter colour reflecting the sun bleached hardiness of desert vegetation.
The golf clubhouse was designed to reflect a modern interpretation of a traditional dhow in full sail capturing the essence of Dubai's seafaring traditions and the majesty and simplicity of the lateen-rigged dhows as they sailed up and down the coastline of Dubai.
